Yoga and Cosmology under the Tropical Sky

Celebrate spring with a rejuvenating, exhilarating, and inspiring Yoga retreat in exotic Costa Rica at one of the world's premier Yoga destinations, the Pura Vida Spa. For a wonderful week, we rise with the sun to practice morning Yoga in one of the mountaintop rooms. Evenings will feature Asana and Meditation classes centered around specific health and spiritual wellness themes, discussions on cosmology and our place in this world, and a tour of the beautiful southern night sky.
We will become quiet, nurturing ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually, through conscious breathing, following specially designed posture flows with affirmations and reflection, diving into deep relaxation, and sitting still in meditation. As part of our quest that involves body, mind and spirit relaxed evening discussions will tackle deep questions, such as ‘where do we come from?’, ‘how did it all start?’, or ‘why can we figure out this world in the first place?’. We will explore current limits of our knowledge in the tension field between science, religion and philosophy. This journey into the cosmos will be complemented with a guided tour of the southern night sky with our own eyes and a small telescope.
During the day we are free to embark on one of the exciting Eco-tours to beautiful water-fall gardens, volcanoes, or the beach, indulge in massage and other bodywork, or enjoy the peace and tranquility of the garden with exotic birds and flowers.

Hannelore & Eberhard Moebius are from Germany. She is a Kripalu Yoga Teacher Mentor, a graduate from the Master Program in Integrative Yoga Therapy, a Polarity Therapist, and Reiki Master. He is a Professor of Physics and Space Scientist at the University of New Hampshire.
