Dear Yoga friends!
The Holiday Season is approaching, and we can enjoy the festivities, seeing friends and family. Since the pandemic continues with NH being # 1 in the nation, we are really careful. Even though we are vaccinated, we always have a few boxes of rapid response antigen tests at home! I hope, you are diligent, too! A NEW YOGA SESSION starts this week. The schedule stays the same, and I hope you can continue through the Holiday Season. Instead of the 8-week session, I am gifting you with an additional class, so that we have a 9-week session. Please, either pay via PayPal or send a check of $96 to my home address. Just to give you another clarification: When you have paid the full session, and you you cannot attend a class, please send me an email that you are unable to join; I will send you a Zoom-link with the recording, which is then free for you! However, if someone did not sign up in a full session ($96), but likes to purchase the recorded class of the week (downloadable within one week until Wednesday nights), the price for the recording is $25. This time of the year, as the days get shorter, I love to meditate with the sun rising. I am sharing an especially beautiful sunrise with you below. :) Wishing you a peaceful and joyful Holiday/Christmas, whatever you celebrate! Stay well & safe, and have a happy and healthy New Year 2022! With Love and Blessings, Hannelore

Dear Yoga friends!
I am grateful for your continuing friendship and support. It means a lot to me to connect with many of you every week or in private sessions, though it is online only. Today is another beautiful crisp and sunny day and I wish you a happy, joyful, and peaceful Thanksgiving weekend! Hopefully, you can rest or enjoy fun-filled activities with family and friends. I just baked my favorite gluten-free rolls and like to share the recipe with you: You can start with the amount of 600g (2 1/2 cups, 24oz) flour, and 600g water. I have tripled this amount lately and freeze the rolls for storage. CHIA - OAT - SORGHUM ROLLS: Mix 300g oat flour, 300g sorghum flour, 1 cup chia seeds, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp xanthan gum, 1 tsp yeast, 1 cup sourdough with 600ml warm water. The dough has to be really soft .... kind of dropping off your hand ... therefore, play with the amount of water! You can substitute part of Oat and Sorghum with Teff flour or Amaranth flour. Make the rolls small, see the photo below! :)) Enjoy! Dear Yoga friends!
After a great trip to Germany, I am looking forward to seeing you again for Yoga on Zoom. Since we transition into the colder season of Fall and Winter, we will add warming Yoga poses and Pranayama with reflections on Ayurveda. For this new session, I like to offer you a new option: If you have paid a full session, but need to miss a class, email me. I will record the class, and this recording will be available for you for the coming week. For the upcoming 9-week session, you can pay $96 via PayPal or check. We will continue according to the same schedule with our mixed level class on Wednesdays at 5:00PM and Thursdays at 9:00AM, our gentle therapeutic class on Thursdays at 10:30AM. We still have the Free monthly Meditation class on the first Wednesday of each month at Noon! I am looking forward to seeing you soon. Much Love, Hannelore Dear Yoga and Meditation friends!
The New England Summer is soon arriving. I am so excited to getting my hands into the soil, growing flowers and veggies! Many of us have outdoor activities and projects. Therefore, I decided to offer our noon-time Meditation every first Wednesday of the month. I will continue my weekly Yoga classes on Wednesday nights (5PM) and Thursday mornings (9AM and 10:30AM) with a new 9-week session starting this week! Please email me, if you like to be added to receive a Link for our Zoom classes! Hello Everyone!
We will start a new session! Yes, time is flying. In the last few weeks, we covered Marma Chikitsa/Acupressure point massage. We will continue to use the Marma Acupressure points and the Nadis or Meridians in our Yoga practice by reflecting and becoming aware of certain stretches, openings, and compressions, while being in the Yoga pose. This will bring enhanced Pranic flow through the Nadis and nourish the blood flow to the organs. You will release the blockages, which have built up in the Winter, and feel more energized and refreshed. Ready for the Spring!! :) Our 9-week session will follow the same schedule: Wednesday - Noon: FREE Meditation/Relaxation with deep breath work Wednesday - 5:00PM: Mixed-Level Yoga classes Thursday - 9:00AM: Mixed-Level Yoga classes Thursday - 10:30AM: Gentle - Therapeutic Yoga classes with joint care and Somatics I am looking forward to seeing you! You can either pay $96 by PayPal or check. Much Love, Hannelore HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!
I hope, you had a peaceful and harmonious transition into the New Year! My family and a group of friends in Montreal had a great Zoom party as we transitioned into the new year with poems, personal reflections, singing, playing music, and cheering to each other. What a great occasion to connect with long time friends! I love to share with you a Poem, which my friend Fran read to us. It is so very meaningful, especially in this year! Poem by L. R. Knost: Do not be dismayed by the broken world All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go, love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you. I also like to share with you a photo, which I received from Peru, taken in Cuzco, on Jan. 6! Symbolic for this day. Let's pray for peace, as the lightning was accompanied with a rainbow, symbolic for healing and connected to the universal light. ** I just received the name of the photographer: Eleane Abarca With Love and Blessings, and I am looking forward to seeing you in our new Yoga session next week! Hannelore Greetings everyone!
From my heart to yours, I wish you Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or whatever you celebrate at this time of the season. While the holidays may look quite different this year, let's hold the sentiments of peace, love, caring, and uplifting spirits that we need now more than ever. What a year we had! I hope, you are well, and you could adapt to the different way of life .... and hopefully being at ease with our online communication. I realized that many of us got used to our Zoom classes, or even enjoy connecting with me that way, since you moved far away and picked up classes again. However, it brings up a special joy when, once in a while, we run into each other during short errands or a walk. In these moments, I realize that I do miss face to face time and real hugs! Even though I shared this in my ongoing classes, but I wanted to let you all know that we lost my/our inspirational teacher and friend, Rama Jyoti Vernon. I met Rama in 1998 for a workshop at Kripalu and invited her up to NH for several workshops. Her warmth, wisdom, and the way she expressed her spiritual connection within our Yoga practice and even the mundane world with the deep aspects of universal wisdom always intrigued and inspired me. Our mutual connection to Elisabeth Haich and Selvarajan Yesudian (my teachers in Switzerland) started our developing friendship. Rama was always eager to hear from my experiences with them, while I enjoyed deepening my Yoga practice through Rama, allowing myself to taking time, lingering into the Asanas and breath, listening and opening up my senses. She has trained us well to carry on and not get lost in our journeys. Let's honor Rama and remember her saying: "Yoga is the path of remembering who we really are!" Sending you Love, Light, and Blessings, Hannelore *** Our classes continue with the same schedule through the holidays! The new session will be starting in the 2nd week of January for 9 weeks again! Here is one of my favorite recipes for the holidays! Butternut Squash Mini Pies. Enjoy! :) Dear Friends:
Happy Thanksgiving! There is a saying, which I have experienced many times: That which we bless with gratitude will increase; this grace of gratitude nurtures our body, mind, and spirit. So, today, let's find something for what we are grateful for! There are so many aspects, we can be grateful for: The Joy, Love, and Health of family and friends. The peacefulness around us, the meal of today! The sharing of our meal with others! The experiences of the past, as well as the very present moment. By becoming still and opening our senses, we become aware and can bring gratitude to our breath coming and going; the fragrance in the air; the colors around us; the sounds; the air touching the skin. We might like to go for a walk and bring thanks to the songs of the birds; the glistening water of a lake or the ocean, the sound of the leaves in the wind, the warmth of the sun on our face. Enjoy the grace of gratitude wherever it carries you today and in the future! Share the grace of gratitude with others! Much Love and Blessings, Hannelore Hello Everybody!
We'll be starting a new Yoga session this coming week! We have been reflecting and working on the Chakras, supporting them with Pranayama, Asanas, Mudras, and visualizations. This coming week continuing with the Heart Chakra. This year, I am offering this session through the Holiday Season. Please, let me know if you can attend at those times. The 9-week is $96, and you may pay either over PayPal or with a check. Thank you! Hannelore Dear Yoga friends!
Today, I am reflecting on how we are all connected in the choices we make for ourselves and the world around us. Instead of falling into the mass-market crowd, we are making thoughtful choices that hold our values, sustain the environment, support our climate, our healthcare, our mindful lifestyle, and so much more.... Thank you for taking action and getting out your VOTE! With deep breaths and Love, Hannelore * An inspiration from Sadhguru: "Democracy is not a spectator sport. We have to participate." So true for today! :) |
