We have a Reiki Share coming up this week on Tuesday, January 15 (4:00 - 5:00PM). We are a small group of Reiki practitioners who come together to practice on each other and to treat persons in need.
Either the entire group treats one person for around 10 minutes, or we pair up and work one on one.
Giving Reiki treatments as well as receiving them raises the vibratory levels of the energy field in and around our physical bodies. Reiki clears our energy pathways, lifts our spirit, and brings focus and relaxation to our minds. Attending as a practitioner or receiver is free. However, if you would like to give a donation, it is appreciated (towards the rent of the space). We meet at the upstairs Yoga studio of Inner Balance Pelvic Health & Wellness Center.
If you would like to join us, please jot me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Much Love & Blessings, Hannelore
*** The next Reiki Training is planned for the end of February (tentatively Feb 23).
Happy New Year 2019 and all best wishes for sound health, joy, and success!

Hello Yoga Friends!
This year, the early snowfall brought us into an earlier Holiday Spirit.
I am looking back on a year, filled with lots of work, adventurous travel, joy, and love. I thank you for your continuous support of my classes and workshops. We so appreciate our new place at Inner Balance in Newington and the Parlor of the Community Church in Durham. I am also grateful for our amazing Moebius Yoga Team, Ashley and Daniela, who worked tirelessly for creating this colorful, ever evolving website with their knowledge of technology and art, which I would have not been able to do by myself! We hosted and ‘adopted’ Ashley into our home who gave birth to her beautiful baby girl Isabella. We, as 'adoptive Oma & Opa', had such an amazing, precious time with the two of them and then Isabella’s father and family members, traveling from Peru and Texas to welcome Isabella! Our house was full of joy, and now a little quiet, but we will see each other again soon! The Holidays with Christmas will bring us a full house with all of our family members again, and I can’t wait to play with Bear, our grandson, and celebrate with all of them!
I wish you a joyful and peaceful Holiday Season and safe travels, wherever you might go! Although, many of us will enjoy a full home with company and family time, let’s try to take a break for reflection and meditation in between. Our Yoga practice helps us find that inner peace, even in the midst of the business of the Season. May we all enter the coming year with peace at all levels of our being, with family and friends, and the world around us.
The new Yoga schedule for the Year 2019 is enclosed. During the coming semester, we will deepen our exploration of the Chakras and so we will apply Mudras and new visualizations according to the Chakras. Additionally, I will teach you one rejuvenating restorative pose at the end of the class each week, combined with deep reflection.
We have a number of great workshops coming up this coming year! Please sign-up early! I have to commit to the space a month ahead! If we do not receive sufficient sign-ups one month before the workshop, I unfortunately will need to cancel the workshop, so please sign-up ahead of time!
I have scheduled a Reiki Share for January 15th, and a “Post-Holiday-Cleanse” for the second week of January. I encourage you to join me for some time of self-care to reset body and mind with an Ayurvedic Kitchari-Cleanse. As a SPECIAL OFFERING, I will offer a brief (15min) AYURVEDIC phone CONSULTATIONS for FREE! :) Plan the month of January as YOUR time to re-align! We all know, if it is not firmly in our schedule then other activities will get in the way!
As of March 1st, I will be raising my price for Ayurvedic Consultations to $160 for the initial session and $70 for follow-ups. However, if you book your 1 ½ hour session before February 28th, you will pay only the former price of $150 with $60 for any follow-ups. Phone, FaceTime and Skype sessions are the same price.
Please sign up on my website via PayPal or e-mail and send your payment to my office at 350 Hemlock Lane, Barrington, NH 03825. As you have seen in the past, your favorite classes fill up quickly.
Have a wonderful Holiday season and a Happy New Year!
With Much Peace & Love,

Two blogs ago, around Thanksgiving, I posted a delicious Stuffed Pumpkin (or Squash) recipe for you. Did you happen to try it out? I did! Click HERE for the recipe!
Moebius Yoga Team!
As some of you have noticed, I have created a new website with much appreciated support from Ashley and Daniela!
Also, Ashley's baby girl Isabella was born on October 31, 2018 at 9:52AM.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! So, our session has ended and it was so wonderful. :) Thank you all for your continued dedication to your practice and your attendance in class. It has been such a pleasure to be with you in class or in spirit.
Here is a quick reminder about some of the upcoming changes that I made to the passes for yoga, of which I wrote about in a previous email/blog. I changed the way the classes are offered now because I wanted to make it easier for you to continue your yoga practice with me. :) In order to do that, I am now offering you CLASS PASSES of YOUR CHOICE! More information about how the class passes function can be found here at this link, however in short, you now have the option to choose from simply dropping in, or attending 3, 5, 8 or 12 classes - anytime you would like, at either locations, within 1-3 months (depending on the pass).
I also wanted to share with you this special HOLIDAY GIFT :) I would like to offer you an 8 Class Pass for $86 instead of $96 when you buy it this week (until December 10 - 8:00 am). That's $10.75 per class instead of $15! If you're out of town for a while for the holidays, don't worry, you can purchase passes in advance and activate them when you're ready to attend class. :)
Oh, and since we will have a Holiday Break between Dec 20 to January 7, you already have an extra week to attend the 8 classes. (Class passes usually expire one month from activation, except for the 8 class pass which usually expires in two months and the 12 class pass which usually expires in three months.)
Let me know if you have any questions about the passes. I've included a PayPal option below in case you would like to take advantage of this special discounted rate now. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
Yoga & Workshop Schedule
My most favorite Workshop is approaching! The Rest & Renewal with Marma Chikitsa and Essential Oils Workshop is extremely relaxing and rejuvenating, which is especially helpful during this busy time between the Holidays. This workshop gives you the opportunity to take care of yourself and restore your energy for the season and New Year! I invite you to sign up quickly because there are only two spaces left! See you on Saturday!
Hello everyone. If you're in New Hampshire then you are aware that today we had our first snow! For me, it originally felt so dreadful because my snowblower wouldn't work and I had to leave for errands in Manchester. So, sadly I had to go outside in the cold and shovel snow by hand!
I have just returned home from Manchester though and everything went well. I am here now, enjoying a delicious, warming cup of Chai Tea... it's in moments like this that I am grateful for my knowledge of Ayurvedic recipes like this chai.
As I sit here sipping my tea, I can't help but also feel excited about the upcoming day of Thanksgiving. I find myself now planning ahead in regard to which recipe I will make - I love giving in to the gourmet side of myself ;)
This year, my vegetarian turkey won't have creme because my joints have been more sensitive to dairy and so the "turkey" will instead have tahini and almond butter mixed with chestnut and mushrooms of all kinds... oh! And its served either in a pumpkin or a butternut squash! Without yoga, mindfulness and Ayurveda, I wouldn't have been aware as to why my body ached sometimes. Thank goodness for these wonderful and healing practices. :)
I'd like to share my vegetarian turkey recipe with you here now so that you can possibly enjoy it's deliciousness as well! The mushrooms and chestnuts in it have so many nutrients that are beneficial to your body, including protein! The tahini is calcium and mineral rich, and the almond butter has a sweet taste to balance out the bitter taste of the tahini. The sauce is mixed with Ayurvedic spices like curry, turmeric, paprika, cumin, coriander, and ginger, as well as fresh thyme, rosemary and oregano which help to kindle your Agni (digestive fire) and harmonize your digestive system. The whole recipe is full of vitamins, which will help your immune system during this winter period :)
If you have any questions about how to prepare it, please feel free to ask me! ~ Hannelore
Delicious Stuffed Pumpkin Recipe
* Cut the top off the pumpkin (about 1/3 of the upper part) so that it forms a bowl. Remove the insides (you can bake the seeds in the oven with a little bit of oil - feel free to add spices to it later and then enjoy them as an appetizer) and bake the pumpkin bowl in the oven between 380-400 degrees until it is soft. **** It is recommended that you oil the inside of the pumpkin with olive oil or sesame oil, as well as sprinkle some nutritional yeast inside of it. ****
* If you are using a squash, cut it in half, long ways, so that it also forms a long bowl. Scoop out the insides and bake both sides of the remaining squash in the oven, just as mentioned above regarding the pumpkin. Don't forget to add oil and nutritional yeast to the inside of the squash bowl.
In the meantime...
* Heat the Ghee first and then add and saute all of the spices and herbs in the ghee until the spices foam and you can smell them (be careful not to burn them, this requires all of your attention).
* Now add the diced onion and let them sautee in the spices. You want to saute the onions until they are covered in spices in ghee. Stir until they become golden.
* Next, add the chopped mushrooms. Stir them in until they are also covered in the ghee and the spices. Maybe chant love into your mushrooms as you cook them ❤
* Next, sprinkle some nutritional yeast onto the mixture and mix it together.
* Next, add some wine to this lovely mixture. Allow the wine to bubble up and form a sauce.
* Next, add some tahini and almond butter, stirring it in until the mixture is smooth and thick.
* Finally, once the pumpkin or squash is finished baking (it is soft but not too soft - pay attention to it), remove it from the oven and fill the bowl portion with the above mixture.
* Garnish with a branch of rosemary or parsley. ENJOY!
Just a reminder that tomorrow's workshop starts at 1:30! I have two spaces left, so if you would like to join now last minute, you still can. Simply let me know asap :) This workshop on Saturday, November 17th includes a combination of Yoga, Ayurveda, and the Science of Western Nutrition, which when combined, is so worthwhile! For this amazing workshop, I am collaborating with Maria Larkin who is also at Inner Balance as a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist, and Functional Medicine Practitioner. For more information about this workshop, visit the previous blog. Here is the link :)
Last Workshop of the Year
I have another workshop coming up again in November! This workshop on Saturday, November 17th includes a combination of Yoga, Ayurveda, and the Science of Western Nutrition, which when combined, is so worth while! For this amazing workshop, I am collaborating with Maria Larkin who is also at Inner Balance as a registered Dietitian, Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner.
This Yoga & Nutrition for Healthy Digestion workshop includes the following:
Maria will discuss the function of the digestive system (gut) and what happens to your body when it becomes out of balance. This includes learning about the symptoms of IBS and other common ailments related to poor digestive health. I will share the Ayurveda perspective regarding the gut, as well as the bodies reaction towards its imbalance with the intention of helping you avoid ailments and/or healing them naturally.
Ayurveda offers a fine tuning of when, what, and how to eat for the different body and digestive types so, I will teach you how to improve your digestion through nutrition using the ancient practice of Ayurvedic medicine.
A portion of the workshop will include teaching you Yoga poses to support your digestive system in order to help you boost your metabolism, as well as help you to eliminate toxins. These exercises are so important to know and use during this winter period because we often have less energy and movement.
The gentle yoga poses, abdominal massage, and yoga positions will:
· Soften and relax your nervous system
· Aid in digestion of the foods you eat
· Ease constipation and regulate intestinal motility
At the end of the workshop a relaxing Yoga Nidra and a short healing meditation will help you integrate all that you've been taught.
Information regarding what we have discussed in the workshop will be provided to you as reminders and as a guide to help you achieve optimal digestive health.
I hope to see you there! Please reserve your space as soon as you can. ~ Hannelore
Other Upcoming Workshops
Summer is Fading - Leaves are Falling
While we enjoy NH’s Autumn Season with its lovely red and golden foliage, refreshing winds and sunshine, we can't help but anticipate the upcoming cold and wet Winter. These climate changes sometimes bring up possible health challenges. The good thing is that we can be mindful by preparing ourselves and our bodies for the transition into the imminent cold temperatures.
In order to equip us for the winter, I have developed a very fun and educational workshop that will assist in preparing via Ayurveda and Yoga applications. I hope you will join me on November 10th at Inner Balance. If you could, please sign up early! There's a discount if you do :) ~ Hannelore
Ayurvedic Tools and Applications for Self Care
During the many years of practicing Yoga (since 1980) and studying Ayurveda (1995), I have observed that lifestyle choices such as diet, Yoga, and daily routine can be a potent source of healing. Many health problems are connected with the stresses of daily life or are directly connected to eating the wrong kinds of food or getting too little movement. Challenges invite us to change our way of thinking, living, eating, etc. and stimulate us to transform our lifestyle.
THE WINTER SEASON can bring issues such as Common Colds and Coughs, ‘Winter Blues’ with Tiredness & Moodiness, Insomnia or Excess Sleep, and Stiff or Painful Joints. This workshop draws from the experience of 30 years with Yoga therapeutics, European medicinal herbs, home remedies, and the wisdom of ancient Ayurveda. Kitchen spices, simple changes in lifestyle, purifying and vitalizing Yoga movements, breathing practices, Mudras, and Marma Chikitsa pressure points help us move through the Winter with more ease.
Yoga & Workshop Schedule
I wanted to take a quick second and share something with you that is dear to me.
Until recently, I had not created any art work for decades, even though I had LOVED painting and creating art during my school years and while raising my three kids!
Recently, during my collaboration with Debra Schuler in her ENSO - Workshops “Redesign Your Life”, I had the privilege of teaching the Elements of Yoga, Meditation, and Guided Imagery portions of her workshops.
I had such a great experience: One day of our six monthly training days was devoted to art work with the talented artist, Lesley Arnold. She led us through the creative painting portion and was able to pull out the best in us by supporting us in such a gentle and yet effective way! Within an hour, we had all created a beautiful painting, which we would have probably never done without her guidance!
I would love to share Lesley’s gift with you in our second offering of this workshop, which occurs on the 13th of October at Inner Balance. I promise that you will have fun and gain the confidence to create artwork with joy in your heart like I did via this amazing workshop! ~ Hannelore
I hope you enjoyed the last blog post/email and that you have had time to glance at the new website and upcoming workshops and classes! I can't wait to see you in class soon. :)
I found an error in our schedule that I posted here on the blog and on the website yesterday. The Therapeutic Class is on Thursdays not Fridays and our Workshop on October 13 "Guided Imagery & Creative Painting" will start at 9:30AM instead of 10:00AM. That will give us some more time to enjoy!
I've attached the new schedule here for you to review. I look forward to seeing you upon your yoga mats once again. Have a great morning and day today. ~ Hannelore
The Updated Schedule
