EXPLORE INSIGHTS, TIPS, AND PRACTICES FOR HOLISTIC WELL-BEING
Dear Beloved Yoga Friends, As we approach the dawn of the new year, 2024, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've shared over the past four decades. It is with mixed emotions that I share a significant change in my path: my retirement from teaching WEEKLY Yoga classes. From the humble beginnings of teaching Yoga and Relaxation in Germany to the vibrant community we built together here in New Hampshire, the adventure has been beyond my expectations. I remember our precious times at Aryaloka in Newmarket, North Coast Family Health and Harbor Health in Portsmouth, as well as the spaciousness of the Mill Pond Center in Durham. And, of course, the cherished times at The Prana Studio for Yoga and Health, the sanctuary I created beside my home. Your unwavering support, commitment, and patience have been the bedrock of our shared journey. From weekly classes and Yoga Teacher Trainings to private sessions and workshops crafted from your questions and thirst for knowledge, we have grown and reveled in our togetherness. Even as life led some of you to different time zones and distant lands, our connection endured through the virtual embrace of Zoom, especially during the challenges of the pandemic. Your continued appreciation, even when attending live classes wasn't possible, has been a source of immense gratitude. The decision to step away from our regular classes has not been an easy one, but it stems from a necessity for self-care following my rotator cuff surgery early next year. As I embark on this healing journey, I want to assure you that our connection will endure in a new form. In the spirit of adaptation, I am excited to introduce a membership opportunity for the coming year. For $178, you will have exclusive access to nearly 100 shorter and longer classes on the MOMO PLATFORM. Additionally, the membership includes upcoming live Zoom mini-workshops on "MEDITATIONS & VISUALIZATIONS TO HEAL," scheduled for Wednesdays, our most attended class time. These workshops, themed around physical and other well-being concerns, will span a two-week session, allowing time for questions and practice between classes with the provided recordings. Future workshops will explore themes such as RESTORATIVE PRACTICES, INSOMNIA, OSTEOPOROSIS, AYURVEDIC CLEANSE, REIKI, and more. For those not opting for the membership, workshop prices will be announced on my website. As we navigate this transition together, please feel free to reach out with questions or share your wishes. Your well-being has been my driving force, and I am committed to ensuring you continue to thrive with Yoga. I extend heartfelt gratitude for your enduring support and friendship. Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Healthy and Happy New Year 2024. With love and light, Hannelore

As Thanksgiving draws near, my heart is brimming with gratitude for each one of you—my cherished family, dear friends, and the beautiful souls who share the journey of Yoga in my classes. Your unwavering support has been a source of inspiration and joy. As we embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving, may your celebrations be filled with warmth and shared moments with loved ones. Take a pause to breathe deeply, reflecting on the abundance of what you are, what you have, and where you find yourself on this journey. You can join me in spirit on the Friday morning after Thanksgiving as I share a delightful treat: Ayurvedic Pancakes! This vegan and gluten-free recipe is a gem adapted from the SoHum Mountain Retreat Center by Eberhard, and promises a nourishing start to your day. Wishing you a Thanksgiving overflowing with Love, Gratitude, and Joy! Hannelore Ingredients for 4 people: 4 tbsp Chia seeds soaked in 250 ml water as egg substitute 200 g flour (1/4 each coconut, almond, chickpea, cassava or buckwheat) 2 tsp psyllium husk 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp turmeric 6x shake pipali or black pepper 12x shake cinnamon 20x shake cardamom Optional: ½ tsp ginger powder or pinch of chili pepper 700 ml almond or macadamia milk (oat milk works as well) 1 tsp toasted sesame oil 1 tsp balsamic vinegar add some sparkling water for consistency Start ½ - 1 hour ahead of time with soaking the chia seeds in water. Mix all dry ingredients, including all spices, in a large bowl. Then, add the soaked chia seeds with the water, sesame oil and balsamic vinegar, pour in the vegan milk, while stirring the emerging dough with a whisk. The dough should be rather soft. Add sparkling water while stirring to achieve the soft consistency. Heat a large cast iron pan (works best for these pancakes) on medium heat. Place a large plate on the warming zone of the stove, warmed to medium or high setting, ready for the finished pancakes. Distribute coconut oil, sesame oil, butter, or ghee in the pan. The pancakes separate best from the pan with butter, but if it should be 100% vegan, another substitute will do. Place a heaping tablespoon full of dough into the pan for each pancake, flatten the dough with the spoon into 10-12 cm diameter small pancakes. 3 or 4 separate ones will fit in the pan, depending on its size. Set the timer to 3 minutes. When finished, flip the pancakes. Again, set to 3 minutes. When finished move the pancakes to the plate on the warming zone, add more oil or butter to the pan, and repeat until all dough is used up. Enjoy! Hello, Everyone! I can hardly believe how swiftly summer has swept by – what a remarkable and bustling season it has been! I trust you've had an enjoyable summer too. A heartfelt thank you to all those who graced my summer party with their presence; it was a truly special occasion, and I relished the opportunity to connect with you in person! 😊 Several of you inquired about Beach Yoga, and I want to extend my sincerest apologies if it seemed like that idea slipped through the cracks. In fact, back in May, we had engaging discussions about when and where we could organize beach Yoga sessions. However, my schedule was fully booked throughout July, and I also received feedback from many of our local students who were planning to be away during August. With that feedback in mind and the complex travel plans for everyone, I thoughtfully tailored our offerings for the season. Instead of Beach Yoga, I curated a week of five invigorating Yoga classes, complemented by two additional sessions, followed by three rejuvenating Self-Care classes! I do intend to continue with this supplement for beach yoga this coming term as well. Join us for a rejuvenating start to the new semester of Yoga classes, beginning August 30th. Explore ancient Yoga philosophy, dive into ethical guidelines, and cultivate balance and harmony. Don't miss this enriching journey! Our upcoming Yoga session will start on August 30th and 31st, maintaining our familiar schedule: Wednesdays at 5:00 PM and Thursdays at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
For our Annual Members, you're all set – simply use the link for our Zoom classes, which will arrive the day before your session. For those who aren't Annual Members, please drop me an email to confirm your attendance. The flexible package of eight classes is priced at $122. In our two 8-week courses, we'll delve into the profound teachings of ancient Yoga Philosophy. The Patanjali Yoga Sutras, steeped in Eastern Psychology and organized across four enlightening chapters, offer us new perspectives on our world, enhancing our ease and understanding. As we embrace the eight limbs/disciplines of Yoga, we'll embark on a deeper exploration of the 10 moral disciplines, the Yamas & Niyamas. These ethical guidelines, when consciously integrated into our lives through reflection and awareness, liberate us from self-imposed limitations and usher in a sense of balance, harmony, and inner peace. I'm eagerly looking forward to reuniting with you in our upcoming Yoga classes next week! Until then, take care and stay well. 😊🙏 Hannelore Hello everyone,
