Between 18-30% of all women over sixty-five will suffer a hip fracture by the time they reach ninety. Prevention of osteoporosis should begin during perimenopause, or at least at any stage of menopause to strengthen and reclaim her bone health. Bones grow stronger when they are used, as it is said: “Move it or lose it”!
